As a Canadian company, it would only be a matter of time that we produced the world's first "Product of Canada" truffle oil.  While some say this is a controversial move by our company, we see it as a opportunity to promote and educate consumers about canola oil.  Canola oil is the most consumed vegetable oil in Canada, Japan, and third overall in the world.  Marketed as the healthiest cooking oil, canola oil is actually quite similar to extra virgin olive oil in that they both contain high amounts of oleic acid, which actually helps maintain its shelf stability and the truffle aroma.  The canola plant was derived from the rapeseed plant and it is known that a majority of canola plants today have been modified using biotechnology but it is emphasized that only the plant is modified and not the oil.  Nevertheless, we offer both selections of NON-GMO and regular canola oil to our customers.  With its light taste and aroma, canola oil lets the truffle aroma shine, making it perfect for users that only want to highlight the truffle aroma.
